A Dozen Roses
This was presented on pink paper in a nice frame for this particular Valentine's Day. I wanted to give something personal that would last. The verses represent specific times we enjoyed. I also tried to make the work general enough that others could see themselves in the words.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After meeting on the phone (introduced by my Mum) we agreed to meet in person at Denny's a couple days later late one evening. I had told her chocolate chip was my favorite cookie and Pam had told me that a Rose is her favorite flower. So I brought her one. OK, a written one. Originally one verse (ROSE) was written to Pam and given to her the first time we met. (I had told her I like my cookies crispy on the outside and chewy in the middle. She told me later it took 3 or 4 attempts to make sure she showed up with the right stuff!)
Here's the written "ROSE" I presented.
Ringing Phones can bring good news,
Over the Miles you make a friend.
Someone There to chase the blues,
Even Hearts can start to mend.
(By the way, Pam's cookies were great. Never to be Forgotten)
